Actual start and end dates

The actual start and end dates allow you to record when work on a task actually started and finished, rather than relying only on the planned dates.

Written by Camilla Lekman Hansen

Adding actual start and end dates helps project planners compare planned and actual dates, identify deviations, and adjust the project schedule to better reflect reality.

Actual dates can be updated from both the web platform and the mobile app.

Update actual dates on web

  • Open the task.

  • Click the Actual dates field.

  • Select the relevant date from the calendar.

  • Click the green checkmark to save.

You can update one or both dates.

Update actual dates on mobile

  • Open the task in the mobile app.

  • Below the planned start and end dates, click Tap to enter actual start or end dates.

  • Tap the date field you want to update.

  • Select the date from the calendar.

  • Confirm your selection by pressing Submit.

The actual dates will now be visible in the audit trail on the task across both web and mobile for all project members.
