Bulk update progress

The bulk update function allows you to update the progress of multiple tasks at once, saving time when managing your project.

You can update progress, add comments and attachments, or sign off multiple tasks in a single action.

How to bulk update progress

  1. Select two or more tasks by holding down Ctrl or Shift while clicking on the tasks.

  2. The bulk function panel will appear.

  3. Click Update progress.

  4. Choose one of the four available options:

– Update all selected tasks to a specific progress percentage. Their statuses will change accordingly.

– Update all selected tasks to the progress they should have reached by yesterday, marking them as delayed.

– Update all selected tasks to the progress they should reach by the end of today, marking them as in progress.

– Update all selected tasks to 100% progress, marking them as completed.

Note: If you select a combination of tasks and milestones, only the tasks will be updated. The milestones will remain unchanged.

Add comments and attachments

You can also add comments and attachments to multiple tasks at once.

  1. Select two or more tasks and click Update progress.

  2. Choose one of the four progress options.

  3. Add your comment and/or attachments.

  4. Confirm the update.

If you only want to add a comment or attachment without changing the progress, select Percentage and leave the percentage unchanged.

Note: Even if you do not change the percentage, the audit trail will record the action as a progress update anyway.

Bulk update milestones

If you select only milestones, you can mark them as completed.

Tasks with custom units

If your selection includes tasks that use custom units, their progress will also be updated to the selected percentage.

Bulk sign off

You can also sign off multiple tasks at once.

  1. Select two or more tasks using Ctrl or Shift.

  2. In the bulk function panel, select Sign off.

  3. Confirm the action in the pop-up window.

Unlike bulk progress updates, bulk sign off also applies to milestones included in your selection.

Bulk update in Cross-project

The same bulk update functionality is available in Cross-project, allowing you to update progress or sign off multiple tasks across projects.

Note: Bulk update is only available on the web platform and cannot be used in the Geniebelt mobile app.
