By default, you will receive a daily summary email with updates from the previous day for the project(s) you are part of, based on your role in each project.
Project leaders and admins receive updates on all project tasks, except for changes they made themselves.
Members receive updates only for tasks they are assigned to or mentioned in.
Observers do not receive update notifications.
No email will be sent if there were no updates or changes during the previous day.
To keep the summary concise and easy to review, each project email includes:
Up to 10 beat updates (read more about beats here).
Up to 20 task date changes
At the bottom of the email, you will also see the total number of unread beat notifications from previous days, displayed as:
“X unread updates in total”
You can disable this option in your profile settings. Even if email summaries are turned off, unread beats will still be available when you log in to the system.
However, we do not recommend disabling summary emails. Date changes are not shown as unread beats, which means you may miss important scheduling changes shared by the project leader or administrator.
If you feel that your summary emails contain too much information, you can adjust the time range in your profile settings. For example, you can choose to display only date changes occurring within the next 4 weeks.
