Beats

Written by Camilla Lekman Hansen

Beats are the activity log of your projects. Every action taken, such as creating tasks, updating progress, assigning users, or adding comments, automatically generates a beat.

You can view beats:

Per project (to track activity within a specific project).

Across your entire account (all projects you’re part of).

How to access the beats section

  1. Click the Beat icon in the interface (see pictures above)

  2. A panel will open on the left side of the screen.

  3. You’ll see two tabs:

    • Relevant

    • All

All

In the All section we show everyone all the beats.

Date changes are always shown here

Relevant

Relevant beats are specific to your role in the projects.

Project leader & admin

You will see all status updates and comments on all tasks.

Member

You will see all status updates and comments on tasks assigned to you and if you are @mentioned on a task.

Observer

You will not have any Relevant beats.

On the mobile device you only see the Relevant section.

Unread vs read:

  • Unread beats = green

  • Read beats = white

Marking beats as read

Per project - Opening and closing Beats within a project marks them as read automatically.

Across your entire account - you must manually confirm marking all as read.

Interacting with beats

Click any beat to open the related task.

Searching for beats

Use the Search function to find specific activities.

You can search by:

  • Title (e.g., 'progress' or '50%')

  • Comment text

  • Date (e.g ., April, 22 April 2026 or 2026-04-22)

  • User (name or email)

  • File names (attachments or images)

Observe it first searches the beats already loaded on the page, then automatically loads more in batches of 50 and continues searching. It stops after 10 empty batches with no matches. You can use “Load more” to continue searching further.
