Deleting, archiving, and restoring projects

Written by Camilla Lekman Hansen

Delete

Warning: Project deletion is permanent and cannot be undone by users. We recommend archiving projects instead of deleting them.

Delete a project:

  • On the Project Dashboard or Company page, click the ⋯ (three dots) next to the project.

  • Select Delete.

  • Confirm the deletion by checking the confirmation box in the pop-up window.

Alternatively:

  • Open Project Settings.

  • Click Delete and confirm in the pop-up window.

Restore a deleted project:

If a project was deleted by mistake, contact customer support as soon as possible. Restoration may be possible, but:

  • the longer you wait, the lower the chance of a full recovery.

  • an additional restoration fee applies.

Archive

If the project was not created by mistake, we strongly recommend archiving it instead of deleting it. Archived projects can be restored later at no additional cost.

Archive a project:

  • Click the ⋯ (three dots) next to the project.

  • Select Archive.

Alternatively:

  • Open Project Settings.

  • Click Archive and Archive again to confirm.

Restore an archived project:

From the Project Dashboard, scroll to the archived projects section and click Restore project.

From the Company projects page, click the ⋯ (three dots) next to the archived project and select Restore.

If you were not previously a member of the project, use the Company projects page to restore it.

Only Project leaders, Company owners and admins can delete, archive and restore projects.
