When you are assigned a task, you can invite colleagues to follow the task and report progress.
Open the project where the task is located.
Search for either your name or the task name to find the task.
Enter your colleague’s email address in the Assignees field.
Click on the email address when it appears.
Click outside the field to save the changes and assign the task to your colleague.
Note:
If the colleague does not have a Geniebelt account, they will receive a registration email and must create an account before logging in.
If the colleague already has an account, they will receive a notification that they have been invited to the project (if they have not already been assigned to other tasks in the same project). The task will now be visible in their Geniebelt overview and mobile app.
If you want the colleague to receive a notification for a specific task:
Add a comment in the task using @colleague’s name.
Example:
@Mette we have received this task from HouseBuilder.
Comments become part of the audit trail and are visible to everyone with access to the project.
Use Cross-project to check colleagues’ tasks
If you have access to the Cross-project module, you can quickly see if colleagues are missing tasks that you are already assigned to.
Open Cross-project.
Select the default filter Assigned to you to see the tasks assigned to you.
Add an additional filter to check whether your colleague is not assigned to the same tasks.
You can now quickly assign any missing tasks to your colleagues.
Tip:
If you frequently assign tasks to the same colleague, you can create a custom view:
Save your filter setup as a new view.
Next time you open Cross-project, select this view to quickly see if the colleague needs any tasks assigned.
Click on the image to watch a video showing how to assign tasks to others.
